Cleaning cloth seats in a DI

I am swapping the very well worn leather seats for cloth in my DI and they need a mild cleaning before I put them in.

Anyone have a preference on the cleaning product? I'm thinking something light and foam based-lightly scrub with a brush and shop vac followed by a day in the sun.

I can only say steam cleaner. It does the most amazing things to dirty seats, without any use of expensive products.

I wouldn't using anything too strong. Any residual cleaner left on the seat will just become a magnet for dirt in the future. I'd just use hot water and a shop vac or a carpet steam cleaner.

Also, I would't leave it in the direct sun, just air dry them.

Steam is freakin' amazing... Only way to go.

Just distilled water in the steamer or should I add a cleaner? My sis has a little green machine that will work perfectly.
