Climb and Crawl 2006

Chris, I agree 110% that we need to get out and camp more often. Saturday made me realize that there's so much out there that I'm missing. Beyond the exercise (which we all know I can use), there's so much great comraderie(sp?) that I'm missing out on. I was thinking about it on SUnday. There's all these great people out there that I hardly know yet consider them friends. It's good to actually spend time with them and face to face and build those friendships into more than what they are behind a keyboard.

I can't tell you how much I envy those who can make the time to do the weeklong adventures all over the world. Hopefully someday I will be in a position to be able to do that. Until then, I need to make a concerted effort to get out more often.

Uwe is a happy man

:victory:
Thanks for those great pics Chris! I was a happy man indeed. That fly n' crawl/climb/hike/adventure concept is a good one:jumping:

I also made some great progress in the climbing. BTW, when I got home I found climbing gym brochures at the house and someone who was 'complaining' about the same sore spots on the back/arms as me. She had spent Saturday morning at the climbing gym:rappel: She wanted so see what kind of fun stuff I was doing. Now I'm in trouble.... for going by myself

Looks like a great trip!

I really wanted to go...But I have been too busy trying to make up for all the time off I took this winter. At least seeing pics of Kevin's truck makes me feel like I was almost there...

Randy & Linda, your Taco is looking VERY nice!!! :clapsmile

Don't know what you mean Kevin. That face was HUGE!:p

BTW, I forgot to mention that Chris (again,) treated me to the super delux fly-n-crawl package. The one that includes gourmet food and drink, not just any drink: (note for those who care: we actually had the 'Dunkel' Franziskaner)

Got to go to the fridge now and have a cold one; the seletion here at home is smaller though and I can only choose between the 2 in the top row....

Check out these rock stars. Yes, they went hat shopping together the night before:

Uwe and I came upon this fabulous blooming ocotillo on top the the crest between camp and Hackberry Creek. I had to go back before dark to get a shot of it:

Wow, everyone made good use of their huge camera/lenses! Superb pictures.

Mark, going up there towards 'The End of the World' was well worth it, you got some incredible shots :Wow1:. I really like this one.

Great pics everyone! Mark, you have a nack for photography, you have some outstanding shots on your web site, and never cease to amaze me with your photos.
