95 Tacoma x-cab
I guess I should place a post here for this build. Right now, the bumpers, OME suspension, tires and wheels, and such are on order and I pull into the drive each night looking to see what has arrived.
If you check out the posts on the blog, you'll see that the intension is to build a truck for outdoor adventures like fishing, camping, hunting, and such. Under the theme of using the truck for more than just one thing, keeping it simple and versatile is the intent.
The big thing for me was giving up on running a real MT tire, but after driving 1,000 miles for a recent deer hunt, the point was driven home about how nice a drive can be. My last few jeeps have been built more for trail / rock crawling and not long distance use. This is the first "play" vechicle I've owned that has power windows, locks, and AC.
