On another note.

I really need skid plates. I hate the idea of having a ton more weight added (although it is mandatory to have skids IMO). I have had to been very carful and even turned around on a few trails here in CO due to my skid plate situation. I like the idea of aluminum, but have never welded aluminum. Any ideas? I have a MIG machine and have been kicking around the idea of an aluminum spool gun for it.

Does anyone have any experience with spool guns?

This was my first trip to the area! It really is something special down there. Completely different feel to it than high desert areas elsewhere that I have visited.

Welp I've decided to downgrade and simplify. My 2003 FWC Eagle is up for sale.





It's not on Wander the West or Craigslist quite yet but will be making its where there sometime soon. I will be asking $7500, and including everything needed load it up and drive off, including the wiring fuses and relays to charge the battery while driving down the road.

What you did with your tacoma is exactly what i want with my first gen tundra. the trips youre doing are amazing man. Really help change and help clarify the route i want to go on my truck. was thinking the fox suspension but the ome is sounding better since the truck will have a load. searching for a camper shell moment and than going build a platform/living headquarters thats going to take awhile seeing as i want to have everything i need for recovery and most for sleeping that i will need. Im 23 and plan on trying to work for another 6months to a year at the place im at now and have the truck able to live out of by than and actually travel and sleep out of the truck...i like taking photos and kinda want to learn more about that on the trip. awesome thread man!! wish they made that front bumper for my rig, its nice
