Gonna assume that like most brands it'll go something like this.
Front winch bumper
Rear bumper with swing away options
Sliders
Underbody skids
Then coils move to body armor, air mods (snorkel kit
) interior/security/storage/camp/kitchen build outs that could be plug and play, roof rack, lighting solutions.
I was about to buy a 2.5 and these were all things I was looking for. Now I'm in a nissan titan which has just about a little aftermarket as the Monty does and I'm looking for most of the list above in some shape or fashion.

Full coverage hard core skid plates for sure. Hard core meaning I can rest the weight of the rig on them time and time again without issue.
Internal roll cage.
Compartments made to replace the interior plastic body panels so I could have off road safe storage compartments in the vehicles body cavities...
Bumpers (low profile not the huge ARB sized and above units).
Low profile winch kit that's made to install between the frame rails with minimal installation fabrication.
Rear quarter panel armor for either standard low hanging stock quarter panels or the trimmed panels like mine.
Wide body, big wheel opening fender kits for 37" and greater tires.
Vehicle specific 2nd battery install kits. This would require relocation kits for various engines depending on the various year Montero's.
gen I, II, III sas kits
the list goes on and on...

That was the point. The OP was asking what would we like to see PRE fabbed for the Monty. So, he would like to see a bumper like that one but made for the Monty

I reinforced my frame and part of that process was to make it work for the jeep bumper which bolts on from the front versus the sides of the frame. The fabricator put threaded holes in the front of the frame rails along with an additional L bracket for the bumper to mount using all 4 holes up front.

I agree... Although it might be easier and more flexible to fab up a set of adapter brackets so you can use them for any of the dozens of aftermarket jeep bumpers rather than just make a single bumper.
then do the same for Toyota bumpers, etc.

How did you know the Jeep bumper would fit/almost fit? I have another truck I would like to put a Smittybilt bumper on, but I don't know how to determine how close the fit is.

Oh wait all that stuff is available. On a serious note though If someone could make some upgrade tie rod ends, draglink and a spherical bearing to fit the trailing arms at the axle side, you could run the spherical bearings in the front sides of the axle for better durability on trucks with more than stock flex. Also on the Gen 2 idler you could make a kit to turn the end into a double shear so that they wouldn't bend as easy like they do for the GMC's Upgrade kits.
