I like the sound of "prototype" and that you're on the right coast! Could you make one with a slide out on both sides (for 3 of us)?

The idea of the POD is the base unit could be configured for different taste and different vehicles. So yes a twin slide out is possible. It would raise the height another 6" or so but that is not a big deal.

Highly interested... Located in Buffalo, NY and looking for one for by Long bed double cab tacoma. Couple of questions though. What's the fabric composition? is it waterproof? the capacity of the Bed? The total weight of the unit? I am assuming I have to take out my truck bed to install these on the frame. Interior storage / heating & electric supply? More pics of the interior and opening mechanism would be helpful.
