What does everyone think of the DAP HD steering rods

For general use, light off-road, looking for a stock replacement. I don't venture into the rocks much, but at $195.00 It's an attractive price, I have to replace my ball joints, I'm thinking about doing these now, they come with tre's, greaseable, I've heard bad things when not maintained, but I'd eventually do genuine tre's.

Throw some feedback.

For about $100 more you can get one of those cool looking aluminum steering guards.

Have you ever bent one? For what you describe I'd say the stock rods are fine. I've been off-roading Land Rovers (a good bit of it not on trails at all) for going on 35 years and have only bent one.

I really have to agree on RoverTracks. A massive improvement in stiffness, integrity, clearance and trail damage resistance. Be sure to fit the new ends, which are available from EE.

I ended up relocating the steering stabilizer and buying new tre's I should be fine with the rods.
