Day trippin around Phoenix

My son was in town for the weekend and my broke ol self had to find a way to entertain the dude. 1st we went to "Arizona Falls" which is a pretty cool miniature hydro-electric facility that is used for educational purposes.
We still had plenty of time to kill in the day so we went to the Penske Racing Museum and checked that out, then we ended the day at South mountain. Not exactly a grand adventure but it was fun and free.
If y'all are ever in the area and would like a tour guide, hit me up, we'll have ALL the fun.

I work hard to correct those errors too. One that I missed was red creek. I'd only wheeled about half of it before it was closed. I try to do the touristy things, but often get turned off by people doing what people do.
I wondered if it ever really closed. It was supposed to close for many years so I think I went and did it at least 2 more times. I loved that trail too.

Need to visit the Penske museum - it's been on my list for years.

I don't go to places where people are and live out there in the wild full time, but if you are into that kind of stuff, near Phoenix is Dwarf Car museum in Maricopa area, it's run by a guy who builds mini replicas of old classic cars, they are running too and street legal, pretty amazing stuff
