Dec 16th rock crawling pics

So a friend of mine finally finished up his buggy, after 2 1/2 years. So, I ended up missing Jeffs C'gap run to join Sean on his shake down cruise north/east of Apache Junction. Yes, all of these pics are on the trail, we had proper permits, and no small furry creatures were harmed during the taking of these pictures.

Yea, that pic turned out pretty good. Larry got off the line he needed and got all goofed up in there before we got him straitened out. That is his second buggy, and it works amazingly well.

BN, that is BMAN's kid. He wasn't happy at that point. I think he was just plain worn out by then.

The red liberty buggy is Sean's (Goodtimes' friend)

He used to have a flatbed toyota that he wheeled, then sold to partially fund the buggy. Glad to see he is out wheeling again.

What's the story on this picture.

Chuck, that used to be an early bronco. He slid off the line, and was laying at such an angle that he started burning oil right as he got himself back upright. The is smoke from the exhaust, not the tires.

The trail is "willow springs", AKA "bull canyon".

Like Kyle said, that is Seans. It took him 2 1/2 years in a 18 x 20' garage with a JD2, model 3 bender (without hydro). All the typical junk, 22R, stock toy trans/t'case backed up with a twin stick Atlas [5:1], 35 spline Dana 60's [spool in the rear, ARB up front], 39.5" Iroks, hydro steering, 90 degree approach and departure angles, blah blah blah....

It's a good looking rig. I was impressed...but still don't want one bad enough to sink that kind of time/$$$ into it.

No rear steer (despite how that picture turned out). As for departure angle, when he dropped over that ledge (~ 4' tall), he did ********** the shackle that was hanging off the tail end.
