I had to share, I love these rigs way to much...

Sorry for pic quality, my cell is mostly a phone, the camera isn't so hot...

Spotted in the Trader Joes parking lot tonight. Looked to be in really nice condition, RHD, BC plates, bull bar and some sort of rear bumber bar...if it had been diesel I'd have camped out waiting for the owner to inquire as to a sale:jumping:

There are so many of those things up here in Vancouver, along with any of the RHD Japanese spec vehicles (particularly Land Cruisers). The provincial insurance agency ICBC is threatening to make an issue out of it due to the increase in RHD vehicles and perceived safety issues.

I'd love one of these vans but I'm still not into a RHD car.

Yes it is a diesel, the 2.5 is a super engine. Japanese exported Delicas are rarely gas, only one in BC, Canada appears to be around. Like everything about them so much I had to buy two.

Cheers

I knew someone on here had two...forgot your screenname!

I'm exceedingly jealous!!

I always look forward to trips up to Vancouver, is it for the great food? The skiing at Whistler? No, for me it's the sightings of BJ70s, Delicas, etc...all the great vehicles we DON'T GET IN THE STATES

::not bitter at all::

Excelsior!
I recently saw one on Victoria road near Buckingham Palace Road in London. I could only get a lousy picture from the back though... cool looking rig!

Oh man, lol come to Vancouver Island these Delicas are everywhere. They look cool but seem like they would be really top heavy and tippy not a good combination on our winding mountain highways, at least two fatal crashes have occured in Delicas near here. ICBC claims 40% more likely to crash in a RHD vehicle.

Anyways, I do like all these Japanese imports we are getting lately I just wish they were LHD. I'm guessing converting a Nissan Patrol to LHD would be a hellish undertaking.

Top heavy? Tippy on the short wheel base? OK, maybe they're a bit bouncey.

Lol, I like the edit T.Low I seriously do like the Delicas and other vans of the type, maybe my post seemed a little harsh.

I like 'em too. Not sure how much I trust 'em, though.:peepwall:
