This is an older pic of the trailer, but the rear stabilizers will need to go as far back and out as possible for the most stability. I was thinking ill probably weld the bung for the swing down type jacks near the outside rear corners.

I am a recycler. The local DOT pavers in my area throw those perforated tubes
in the scrap pile after some yahoo texting driver in a Prius mows through them.
I ask if I can have a couple and they are more than happy to get rid of them.

That is a great deal for the crank jacks though. Where did you find them?

That was the initial plan. After pricing those pin type stabilizers plus the sleeve for them, the swing down 3500 lb capacity with drop leg for extra height are slightly cheaper at $32 each. Plus instead of cutting a hole and welding on the sleeve for the pin and having that type stabilizer permanently sticking up or down, I can just weld on the bung and swing them up out of the way or pull them off for off road action....

After much thought and searching I think these swing down tongue type drop leg jacks on the back corners will be the more complex yet simple way to go. :)View attachment 180042

Do you have a link to where you found those? They look perfect for my build!

Yeah, ok, I picked these up. They are stout and aren't too smooth but lift well. The drop/extendable base is sweet! Except? With the handle on the side for me, mounting them on the rear, kind of leaves the handle hanging out. Other than that they are cool. The extendable base is freakin awesome.

Yep, nice set up! I've used floor jacks, the old screw jack and pipe, cheap at Lowe's. That's a nicer way to go.

Tonight I finished the rear door and tailgateImageUploadedByTapatalk1377748621.970809.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1377748636.935438.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1377748645.418816.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1377748652.685152.jpg
Tomorrow I hope to get the LED interior lighting and battery bank charge control wired up (solar power and alternator)

It's starting to come together! I got some 6" round screw in deckplates and low profile 6" fans to make a couple ventilation ports. I also picked up some lexan that's supposed to be 200 times stronger than glass, alien technology I'm sure. I'm going to use it to make 6" round windows. Now, if I only had unlimited time and energy... :)

Yo DeMented, why'd ya waste money on those jacks, you coulda made jack screws for peanuts and extended them in 5 seconds with a power drill, I mean seein' as how you have enough power in that trailer to jump-start a 747, sheesh. I'd like to know what you're powering, I run three 100 Watt transmitters with two Trogan batteries and I can go for 3 full days if need be, and transmitters are power HUNGRY!! I admire your energy level though, I'd be much further along on my project if I had 10% of your mojo, ah to be young again. Keep cranking away bro.
