I'm new to solar powered 12V systems so I'm kind of winging it, and learning as I go. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated! Note to self. Add fuzes.

Shocks are mounted as well as the solar panel on top. I need to locate some heavy duty catches for the hatch doors in the floor and also find and mount some sort of stabilizers...

How is everyone stabilizing their trailers? Is anyone using stabilizer jacks on the rear? Or the drop down type stabilizers like these in the picture? ImageUploadedByTapatalk1377090821.788539.jpg

I like these but its difficult to get them to be firm- they always fall inbetween 1 pin or another and you get a hernia trying to move your trailer up that half inch. lol.

Yeah that's what I was thinking too. I may be better off using regular swing down tongue jacks on the back corners and adding retractable leg extensions to them. Hydrolic or electric would be cool, but more expensive and heavier too.

I like the above type. The K.I.S.S method.
if you need to go one more hole higher, Lower the tongue jack to raise the rear.
Pin it up one more hole then jach the tongue jack up to level.

That was the initial plan. After pricing those pin type stabilizers plus the sleeve for them, the swing down 3500 lb capacity with drop leg for extra height are slightly cheaper at $32 each. Plus instead of cutting a hole and welding on the sleeve for the pin and having that type stabilizer permanently sticking up or down, I can just weld on the bung and swing them up out of the way or pull them off for off road action....

After much thought and searching I think these swing down tongue type drop leg jacks on the back corners will be the more complex yet simple way to go. :)ImageUploadedByTapatalk1377107668.803589.jpg

And I'll definitely be covering those little round weld on bungs with tennis balls or a rubber cap when the jacks aren't attached to ease the pain of bashing into them with my crotchal regions....because I know that is bound to happen when I least expect it!
