Great trip report! This makes me really want to get up and see Alaska sometime soon. My wife spent a summer up there during college, but I've never made it.

These are commonly found on the trails in Alaska.

What are they? I know of Fulda tires, but the bag confuses me.

Fulda was a sponsor of the Yukon Quest a few years back. Mushing race from Fairbanks to Whitehorse or vice-versa on odd years. Pretty grueling with more vertical mileage that the Iditarod.
