Devil's Hole and the old railroad - 12 April 08

Had a total of 4 vehicles - Mr R2FJ (Josh) and Miss R2FJ (Heidi) in there FJC, and two of my long time friends Scott and Brent in there Ford Diesel SD trucks.

The photos of the hole don't do it justice. It takes a little longer than 5 seconds for a rock to hit bottom...

We looped around north and east of Ash Fork on the Transcontinental Cable road, then dropped south to the old railroad grade. After a short hike to see some of the old graffiti, we ended the day at the Welch Road interchange on I-40.

Yup, met Mr. Delgadio many years ago - he's since passed away.

Yeah, it has been several years now.

I grew up with his various family members in Flagstaff.

I loved that malt shop. We'd stop there after hunting trips and rides to PV.
