Dirt between tire bead and rim?

Does that "Tire Slime" stuff help with this situation?

I've tried it on nail punctures before and it didn't work at all.

Years ago when I lived in Vermont a good friend solved the problem by giving up on tubeless tires. During mud season the constant travel on muddy roads just worked the mud into the beads. He switched to tube type, problem solved.

We're talking 10 miles a day on roads with axle deep mud every day for over a month. Not something most people see, so it's probably an extreme example.
