Disco 1 SD with only one sunroof?

Has anyone seen a D1 SD with only one sunroof? It is the front one, no rear one. I found this quite odd, but I am no expert. Thanks.

Yup. I think the 99d1s were the ones that had one sunroof installed from the factory.

Wander- Indeed the truck you are jones'n for has only one "dealer installed" sunroof.
The good, probably works and doesn't leak! (no drain tubes used on the dealer installed).
The bad - not factory- but you'd be hard pressed to tell.

while its open, look at it from the outside, top. see if there is a serial number sticker/manufacturer label. if its in German, its a great unit.

I was wondering about that, I don't mind the not factory aspect, especially since it is better than those from the factory!

I owned a 99 SD D1 with the single sunroof. I had the window sticker from new and it was a factory installed option. The sunroof was much bigger in size than the normal D1 roof and it had a real sunshade. It also didnt leak and closed automatically when the igntion was shut off. Very cool!

Yup, dealer installed and fairly common on 1999 SDs as many did not come with roofs.

Over here you could order a Discovery with two, one, or no sunroofs, it was an option,

Yeah I almost wish I could loss my 2 sunroofs in my 95 D1. You can always put a sunroof in BUT can you take one or both of them away hmmm.
