This is how I fitted my ID5100. The main unit is hidden behind the back seat, speakers in each front footwell and the lapel in the centre console.

How did you attach the head unit to the upper console?

That headlight panel simply pops off. I made 2 small holes and screwed the magnetic plate to the panel. The way I see it, if I ever decide to sell the vehicle I will purchase a 2nd hand headlight panel from the bay for cheap and return it to stock.

I also did mine like that. Like having it centered and able to see the channels. Just have a different radio.
