Discovery 4 / LR4 - Driving lamps

Hi All,

I have a set of LED driving lamps (Rigid Industries) and I would like to install them on my A bar (I do have the mounting kit). Has anyone installed the driving lights on D4 WITHOUT the use of the OEM Lamp kit (which is $900 here in the US)? Any leads will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks a lot for responding to my post. Great pictures and awesome car!!!!

Since I have the OEM protection bar I actually bought the OEM driving lights mounting kit but what I am struggling with is the wiring. I am not really keen on spending $800 on the OEM driving lamp kit just to have the original wiring set up. How did you set up your wiring ? I would love to simply have it connected to my fog lights switch as I envisage that whenever I need to use the fog lights I will probably will need the driving lights as well as I will be offroad. Any ideas?

to control the harness, and avoid putting light switches in the dash. That is the route I went. I used the garage door buttons instead of the remote to trigger the lights.

I havent written here very often, but I have a 2012 lr4 and I installed some hella 4000's and used a wireless lighting harness from warn. I bought it with a fog light kit that they sell for around 100 dollars. Took me 20 minutes to hook up and it has a cool little wireless remote that i just mounted on the dash. Mounting the lamps with the factory mounts was a whole other story! Hope this helps. The car really benefits from some extra light!

I have a friend that bought the warn wireless lights off Amazon for ~$100. Sold just the lights to someone else online for $75-80. The wireless switch seems to be holding up well. Cheaper than buying the other wireless kits online.
