So here's an oddball question: Do you all leave your camp stove out overnight?
I have always stowed all of my cooking gear overnight. Even my aluminum chuckbox usually gets put away, although lately I've started leaving it out on the stand but locked up at night if I'm in an area without any critters larger than a chihuahua. But I have always stowed the camp stove (it doesn't go in the chuckbox). Mostly I do this to avoid rust or other problems due to condensation overnight, but I also have a niggling concern that I missed some food or grease in the cleanup.
Recently though, I'd come to really despise the multi-step (and noisy) process of opening the van, retrieving the stove, reconnecting the fuel supply, and sometimes priming it (when using coleman fuel). As a result of that loathing, I switched to mostly using a small butane "catering" burner, since at least it was quicker to setup and get working, which meant I could have the coffee going before I made enough noise to rouse the wife and kid out of bed.
There's always the chance I'm being a bit precious here, so I'm wondering how many folks just close the lid on their stove and leave it setup for the next day.
