Louis, the family is doing great. As for the rig replacement plan, you'll have to wait and see when I get back from deployment in August '09, I predict another Death Valley Days will be due by about November '09...

I predict Jenn and I will need to head out West in November '09:)

WOW, that would be a serious trip...

:friday:

Naw its not too bad. If we decide to head west next year we will get across as fast as possible, maybe check something out in New Mexico and Arizona since Jenn had not been there yet and then hit up the Death Valley area.

My "Best Women" and long time friend has showed some interest in a major trip with us, so that will help with gas and getting across in a decent amount of time.

The Jemez area is pretty cool, of course you'll have to visit the hot springs. Theres a few places to check out on the east side of Sandia Peak. Other then that most places I knew of around Abq are all developed or posted. The Ruidoso, Cloudcroft area has a few places to go off roading.

Thanks, I am starting to figure out what's possible right now. If we do this, we will take a southern route and pick our friend up in New Orleans (she lives in South Florida) and then head west into Texas. We will see what happens over the next few months. I don't want to make this a rushed trip.

Alright, back to you TacoDoc. Sorry for the Hijack.

No worries...

Meanwhile, in other breaking news, after much deliberation we have decided to keep the truck and continue the refinement ;)

So, it is no longer for sale and I am already at work on changes for my post deployment phase in summer '09

Stay tuned!

can't wait to see what's next.

So what made you change your mind from selling it? :lurk:

I felt like I was cheating on her every time I went to a dealership and looked around. It was nuts.

Then, when it was almost sold, the realization finally hit me that I have too much money and way too many hours of blood, sweat, and tears poured into this project to just start over again on a different platform.

I have decided to enjoy the fruits of my labor and just take it easy for a while! :sombrero:

But, I have a few ideas for new mods and refinement!
