So do the 4th generation Power Wagons have cyclinder deactivation?? The Dodge dealer I talked to said none of the 3/4 ton trucks did, or ever will. Of course most dealers have no clue.

I need to correct myself; I thought the sticker said it. The salesman definitely told me it had it. The sticker doesn't say anything on it.
But, like you said, salesman/dealers are clueless.

I thought the tow/haul button kept it out of o.d. and stopped cylinder deactivation? Is it just a gear limiter then? I like it for mountain driving since it downshifts nicely and provides engine braking.

This thing is really fun to drive. It doesn't have the grunt of a diesel but it's a monster after driving a JK for three years. And talk about traction; it's climbed everything I've pointed it at. Even with the trailer.

Sounds like a good idea!! If you don't need duals anymore, just convert to srw and enjoy buying only 4 tires instead of 6... Keep the Cummins!

If you take off 1 set of tires in the rear...we call that Un-Dually around here:Wow1:

I have decided to go the Un-dually route

Problem is I have not been able to find a 8 foot single rear wheel beed, tried the usual craigs, ebay, and salvage yards within 500 miles...nothing, no problem finding a ford or chevy but no a dodge

Looks good Bill. I do have a set of new H2 35" A/T takeoffs I could bring to Expo for you:)
To fit 35s on on a G4 you have to have less backspace (new wheels or spacers) and new control arms.
If I do 35s, it won't be for a long time.
295/70-17 will fit or 285/75-17 without a problem.
