$125 sounds a lot for a spindle!

As far as spindles go, there are several inexpensive options available from Northern Tool. The problem is the "hub", those sold by NT and other trailer type places don't lend themselves readily to being welded to. Some are cast steel, which is directly weldable if only an inconvenient shape. Others are cast iron, which while usually being weldable, is a can or worms best left alone.

Several of those in the link look like the Kaymar part. No idea if the dims are the same.

Well the funny thing is.... if you want a Kaymar... it only comes one way for a landcruiser 80 series. Dual spindles. You can't order it without... for any less cheaper. So it's really not a issue. Now if i was building my own bumper.. then yeah.. i'd just go to Northern Tool and be done with it.

Why I posted the link. :) Figured sooner or later someone would find this looking for info on building their own.

Nice setup. When are we headed to Mexico?:truck:

Not anytime soon. After hearing some awful stuff down there from people that frequent for numerous years... i'll pass for now. There's too much in the USA and Alaska to explore first. Our next trip is Bradshaw Trail and then probably El Camino Del Diablo.
