Duluth clothing

I received my shipment form Duluth today. The cool-max shirt is fantastic. I think that it will be perfect for Arizona fishing/hiking. On Corey's advice, I ordered the shorts 2" narrower than I normally would. With the stretch sides, they could fit any waist between 30" and 36" (and I'm one of those guys with the skinny white legs that shouldn't be allowed to wear shorts in public). Corey, you are like the Consumer Reports of camping gear on this site. One part of me wants you to keep buying and reviewing stuff, and the other part wants you to quit shopping before I go broke. On a side note, your beautiful FJ has pretty much made up my mind to trade my Corvette in on a slightly used FJ.

He he, thanks, I enjoy reviewing the camping gear and the clothing.
It is hard sometimes to buy clothing online and get the sizing right as seen by me having to send stuff back to both Duluth and REI.
But I think I have it dialed in now...

Glad you like the CoolMax shirts.
I decided to wear the khaki one to work today.
I never thought I would like a nylon shirt next to my skin, but it feels very comfortable.
now polyester, I do not like shirts made with it, or even 50/50 cotton poly, it just just not feel right.
But this CoolMax shirts feels great.

Twice now too I have forgotten to include the coupon with my Deluth order to get that free lock blade knife they are offering.
I will call them this afternoon when I get off work and see if I can do it over the phone.
You should have got the free knife offer too in your package.

Thanks for the comps on my FJ.
I really enjoy it.
There should be lots of used ones around by now.
Many bought them at first too to have the new thing, and did not care for them since they rode like a truck, and then traded them in or sold them.
Well, it is a body on frame, so it is going to ride like a truck.
But I really dig mine, I could not see myself in anything but it for right now.

Great stuff. I have several pair of their jeans/work pants, a couple of Firehose jackets, a vest, some long-tail tees, and a couple of their tool bags. If you don't like the illustrations, they have photos of most of their gear on their website too.

Add me to the Duluth converts. Unfortunately the only thing they offer in my shirt size are the Long-Tail Tees. If they had other shirts in 4X, I would order more stuff from them. Love the shirts and wear one most every day. I’ve got one in every color they offer in my size and two in a few of the colors. If you’re looking for a good heavy weight and well constructed tee shirt, check out the Long Tail Tees.

my boss will order stuff up and have our company logo put on their stuff to give us as gifts. so far, i have really liked and been impressed by the quality and fit of their stuff. have a waffle lined zip hoody that is awesome, a flannel lined canvas shirt jacket that is tough, warm and comfy, and best of all is their wind blocker beanie. like it so much i pack it for cold weather hiking, duck hunting, you name it.

Just placed an order for:
Fire Hose® Work Pants with CoolMax® comfort

Ordered one pair in color stone.
I always try and order only one pair of pants to make sure they fit right in the waist.
I have had to return many a pair of pants before to other vendors.
Buying clothes online is tricky when it comes to pants for me.

If they fit, I am going to order a pair of black ones in the non CoolMax ones too.

My current work pants I wear now to work are getting thin and faded, time for some new ones.

I looked at the Mountain Khakis too, but they are a little higher priced than these, but I may try them later.

First pair of the Coolmax Firehose pants came a week back back, and they were to big in the waist.
I just sent them back today for a refund.

However I had them ship me out a second pair pronto, and those came last Friday, and they fit good in the waist.
A little big, but my belt keeps them up.

30" length is a little to long, so they will get hemmed up by my tailor I go to for other pants.

I did place an order for the black Firehose ones yesterday, and they are on their way.

I will say these are very nice pants, and lots of pockets to carry all my work crap, work cell phone, and more.

They are very lightweight, way lighter than jeans.
I am really not a jean person, I do not like the thick material.
After I get the black ones in the regular Firehose ones, I will order another pair for work and be all set.

Then maybe try some of the Mountain Khakis.

Many are wearing these Firehose pants though for camping/exploration, much like you would the Mountain Khakis.

Arghhhh
The black non Coolmax ones just showed up.
Very nice and heavy duty, more HD than the Coolmax ones.

But...there is no elastic in the waistband like the Coolmax ones.
I can pull the Coolmax ones down without a belt on, so I figured I would order the non Coolmax ones in a size down.
Mistake!
To tight.
I can wear them, but they are a little uncomfortable.

This is what I hate about mail order pants, it takes a few trilas to get it right.
If these were the Coolmax ones, they would fit just right in this smaller size.

Going to keep them though, as I am on a quest to shed some poundage.
But I am going to place an order as soon as I post this for another black pair one size up.

The rear pockets indeed have a Velcro flap over them to keep your $$$ secure.
And the front Velcro cargo pocket when opened up reveals a hidden pocket, where as a cell phone pocket next to it is always available.
The flaps can be tucked in too and secured with Velcro so the inner pockets are available at all times.

These look more HD like the Mountain Khaki pants.

Corey. I have a closet full of pants that will fit when I "lose a little poundage". That elastic in the sides is a lifesaver.

Speaking of comfortable pants with elastic sides........ the 5.11 tactical pants are freakin fantastic. I picked up a few pairs of them and they are extremely comfortable. So far in regards to durability they are extremely rugged as well.

I have a pair too of black 5.11s from Galls I bought a few years back.
A little to tight to wear still.

The black Firehose ones came today, they fit mucho better in the waist.
Going to have to take them and the Coolmax Firehose ones to the tailor though, as they are to long.

The shortest I could get them in was 30", and I need to have them taken up 1 to 2".

When I wore Levis or other jeans, I always got a 30" length.
This is the problem clothing today, they are off some.

They are very nice though, and I like the cellphone pocket on each side inside of the flap that you can Velcro open.

These should make great expedition/camping pants too.
Will be ordering more in a few different colors.
I can gete some in shorter length if I go with a different color.

Anyone thinking about getting these should give them a try, as they have a money back guarantee on them if you ship them back.
