Duralast Sway Bar End Links

While chasing down front end noise that turned out to be an upper strut mount on my LR3, I grabbed some sway bar end links from Autozone. Believe it or not they were in stock up the road from my place. Physically they looked beefier in every aspect when compared to the stock links.

They both lasted about a month and one offroad trip, they separated at the top joint. New LR ones are on their way from AB.

For what it's worth, outside of the noise of the links banging around I noticed no difference off or on road. Maybe time to pull the sway bars like on every other Rover I've had?

Don't the sway bars limit the downward travel? I'd be interested to hear about the results of using no sway bars...

I can't vouch for your experience, but when my rear sway bar link broke the LR3 would buck and and swerve ALL THE TIME. It made any kind of pothole or lane change very scary and unpredictable at >60 mph.
 
Being the front links might be the difference. I'm also running the coil conversion which must an impact on things.
 
I've been running the coils for a year or so.

This post is more about letting guys know to try and use Genuine LR parts when you can. In this case there is a difference.
