Looking forward to seeing this truck in person. Do you guys have an ETA for Ensenada. Miles and I will be pulling the Adventure Trailers Chaser #15 down on Wednesday morning. Should be looking around at Contingency row around 9:30 am. A couple hours later we will be heading towards Gonzaga bay. Good luck Guys. Hope to see you on the way.

Trip Pics

Sorry for the delay. At the last minuite a satellite company, who shall remain nameless botched our shippment of the dish so we had no realtime image comms as we expected to have for the trip. This wild satellite company lost control of their IT and could not ship in time. I am sure they are "blue". Anyhow we have some awsome footage on video especially, dozens of hours in fact. I also just got access to our FTP site so I can review all the photos of which there were many. I will post and forward to the page asap. Thanks for your patience.

Cheers,
Michael

Sounds like a cool trip so far.

Curious about the top...does it not cover all the bed?

Also what's your take on the tailgate/tire carrier? Pretty cool looking.

I'll answer some of this for mike. The best top topper on mhis chevy is actually for the 1500 which means it is to short for the 2500 bed. However by dumb luck it is just the wright length to incorperate the Wilco tire gate with a hi lift jack mount.

The wilco tire gate worked great. We were a little concerned with it getting into the engel fridge on the campa but because of the hieght difference between the truck and trailer it ended up being no problem. It was one of the trouble free mods that we did. And it was carrying a 37/13.50 toyo a 60" highlift and a pull pal. It didn't budge at all so that is one product we can vouch for being well designed and functional. It was also a snap to install. It should take abotu 45 minutes on most vehicles to install your first time. I would say now that I've done one no more then 30 taking my time.

Video clip of baja 1000 dust or glory

I am sorry for the delay in my posting more details of our trip, here is a video to fill the time gap while I am busy plunking away at the key board and sequestering images from the trip for your viewing pleasure. Click here to see about three days compressed into about 3 min. Much more video, images, and stories to come....Also, don't forget you can see much of the truck build, the tedious trip out, the off road footage, and ride home on the Speed Network show Truck Universe. New episodes air each sat at 10:30 EST and we will be a segment of the show for the next two months. You can also learn more at www.Truckuniversetv.com
