every genesis has a revelations....

well i'm sure i missed a couple parts but the van is officially up and running.
Not 4x4 yet but that requires a driveline and the floor to be cut, both steps i'm sure have been documented here and then some.
i will say that this forum + Chris @ UJOR have enabled me to attempt achieve that which my neighbors/co-workers/family thought was just a pipe-dream.
Particular thanks to U-Joint as 1) they produce what seem to be the envy of the market (moderation is for cowards) and 2) Chris is destined to be driven insane as a result of his own success because i wouldn't put up with my incessant questions.

So I have read your thread from beginning to end twice now as I am getting ready to start the same process on a 2001 E350 with the 7.3 diesel. One thing I didn't see you post an answer to is the E Brake. I have on sterling from an 04 also. Trying to gather all the parts and plan for all the issues.

hmmm, so not really an end to the parking brake saga yet. if you haven't looked yet the dana cables won't work with the sterling and the cables chris offers with the UJOR kit is specifically for the 05-07 axle. Wasted a bit of $$ trying to piece something together. i've since decided that if this is gonna require something pieced together with custom cables and a bit of fab, i wanna do a driveline brake. High angle driveline out of CA offers this fella:

more to follow on that but i wouldn't hold my breath waiting on me...

The Ebrake setup for the sterling axle leaves a ~3" gap between the threaded rod and the "receiver" that it goes through. I welded an extension on this rod. Simple fix.
