Wow, didn't know Toyota started out making wagons!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH nice...

Odd bit of history, that particular wagon out sold all the others nearly 2:1, and after going from Missouri to Oregon was able to make the return trip using the same oxen... so...there's that...

Cool old jack, looks like maybe it uses gears instead of the "walking pin" mechanism the modern Hi-lift uses. Clearly the good ol farm jack is and always has been irreplacable for overland travel. I wish I could find a picture of a guy on a camel with one, that'd prove my point and really bring this discussion around full circle...

Cheers

Nice find.

Thread has been moved to the Recovery and Repair Equipment folder from the Toyota folder, which explains the posts above...

We get to Ruidoso at least once a year and need to look that up next time we go.

Found some interesting trails up around Capitan.

Are you from that area? My in-law live in Alto.

From El Paso, TX spend some time up there all year around.

I found this one at a swap meet for $5. Needs a new handle, but still works just fine.

Fergie, could you find a date on it anywhere? Curious on the era of that old boy....wooden handle; nice.

Thanks for sharing the pics...I may have found a new hobby but I would have to get the old, old wagon one and I am sure there are not many left.

Cheers!
