Looks great, thanks for the detailed photos!

Aren't you able to move the awning mount back just a bit on the rack so that it can open all the way?

Thanks for all the pics, Maxcustody.

My concern with these designs (for my particular application) is that you don't get full coverage in the rear where I do all my cooking. Love the concept, though.

Thanka, I did move it numerous times to get the angle I wanted. Moving it too much pushed it further out. I will continue to tweak it and see what works best...

The rear is my main focus as well due to my setup. I love the awning and feel it will great for me. I have plenty of room under the awning to fully extend my fridge and stove slide, and still covered from the elements.

Thanks for posting all the pics, as I posted a few up, I too need coverage tight up to the rear, unless it can be adjusted so the rear support bar can go up tight to the rear, it does not look like the Bat is for me. It's a great looking awning though, I hope you put it to good use.

I am going to have to screw around with it and see what works best for angle and height. Just put it on this morning, I am sure tweaks will be in the future.....

Re the Alu-Cab awning

I'm anxious to see what the deal is myself.
Just to let you know, I have shared a couple of emails with the manufacturer.

Do they have a USA distributer? No, but working on one

Will it fit on my Jeep that has an Ursa Minor J30 top? They did not think the fiberglass top would be strong enough to support it. I am waiting for an update from thier engineering department.

What's the cost? Shipped to the USA? They have never answered that question.

I'm not pushing hard on them as this would be a 2016 project for me anyway. I would like to know If anyone else gets better answers. Maybe mention this forum to see if it sparks more interest in this market.

I'd be very interested to hear pricing on the Alu-Cab Shadow awning. It looks like the perfect combo of the Bat and the Manta... Although I haven't seen exact specs or dimensions on all of them, it looks like Bat = good rear coverage, Manta=good side coverage, Shadow = good rear AND side coverage!

What do you mean they don't offer RH and LH versions? Their website photos all seem to show LH versions is that what you mean? Conveniently enough, that's the side I'm looking for!

The Bat and Manta run ~1300-1410 so the final pricing might be pretty similar although I have no idea what import duties and shipping and all that might run.
