How about adding the CB channel & 2-meter frequency to the first couple of posts?

Ok, quick permit status:

WHO DOES NOT HAVE A PERMIT?

The permit office is so quick that maybe everyone has one now.
My papers went in the mail today :o

I will check with my shotgun rider to verify that he received his. Mine arrived today, and I know his app. was sent out one day later than mine.

BTW, Ed, I realized where you got the #14 exit from - that is where we are meeting the rest of the group at 10:30 am on Friday, which is in Yuma. I must admit I screwed up and was thinking that we were meeting at the trailhead in Wellton, but now I see it is Fortuna mine Rd. I think we'll keep the Wellton camp location though, as it will make for less driving late in the day for the AZ people, and a short drive (1 hour) on Friday morning. If anyone would rather camp off of Fortuna Mine road though, I am cool with that too. But it looks like we would definitely need to make sure everyone had their range permit in that case.

Wellton camp sounds good to me. Or Fortuna Mine. The Wellton site will be a tad farther out from Yuma...as you said, less driving on Thursday PM.
Whatever...I'm easy (but don't tell anyone!).

Yo...I know the question was 'who does NOT have a permit'...I got mine a couple days ago...was surprised that is was the approx. size of a business card but it looks like the right thing.

Re firewood...I'll bring a couple Duraflame logs...I KNOW they're not as aesthically pleasing as real wood but considering the restrictions and hassle of bringing wood as well as easier cleanup, it's not a bad way to go. We used them a couple times in Baja...in fact, I came up with a two word comparative phrase that seemed to sum up the group opinion at the time :Wow1: (a bit under the influence)

Pasquale...sorry to hear about your knee...hope it all heals well and quickly:wavey:

What kinda nighttime temps are we talkin? My last night in Baja (Catavinia) was 36 degrees !!!

I'll be staying at the Hacienda Motel on 4th Ave., just down from the restaurant. A bit cheaper than the Fairfield Inn. (928)782-4316 for anyone interested.

thanks Vince - I am on the road to recovery and maybe able to walk soon

AZ is turning cold so i would prepare for lower temps at night ;)
