Ok, there are three cool things about this:

1. The director of the new shoe division (David) drives an FZJ80 TLC and is an Overland Journal subscriber.

2. Exofficio makes fantastic adventure travel clothing, and new useful shoes to go along with that classic Air Strip shirt you have.

3. I have an early production pair of the Cruz'r, and they are super comfy.

ExOfficio Launches New Adventure Travel Footwear Collection
One Pair of Shoes, A Million Adventures

Tukwila, WA: September 17, 2008 – ExOfficio, a leading manufacturer of adventure travel apparel, has launched a new line of footwear designed with its Comfort3 philosophy – offering consumers physical comfort, emotional comfort, and comfort of value. The Spring/Summer ’09 collection made its debut at the Outdoor Retailer Show in Salt Lake City last month.

Keeping the traveler in mind, ExOfficio footwear is built for the spirit of adventure. The shoes are versatile and multi-functional – perfect for seeing sights, walking on a trail, and still look great for a night out on the town. The result: packing less and doing more.

ExOfficio footwear is both travel and eco-friendly. It can be easily slipped on and off to help one quickly pass through airport security. Several styles are made with recycled rubber outsoles, bamboo fabric liners and hemp uppers, which make them easy on the environment.

Priced between $100 and $15o SPR, distribution for the new footwear line is targeted to ExOfficio’s current retail base and select specialty footwear stores.

Well, these shoes have been flawless on our trip through Central America. I mostly wore the Reefrunners, which worked for everything I was doing (from deep mud to hiking to playing in the surf.

What I liked most about the ReefRunner was that they still look acceptable in pants at a nicer restaurant (with socks) in Casco Viejo, and are also perfectly chic with shorts (without socks, unless you are German) in Costa Rica at Lola's.

I also dig the plastic shank in the ReefRunner, which has protected my sensitive arch.

Here is an update on their 2010 line: Download here as xls file

The excel file includes a friends and family discount in the other tabs. Dave can answer any questions.

I just started wearing the Navi, which is a closed (yet still vented) version.

Back in May I received a pair of Exofficio Caravans from the ExPo Exofficio shoe giveaway. I LOVE these shoes. They are extremely lightweight AND very comfortable. They fit me like a pair of socks with support in all the right places. I've worn them on short hikes with steep, loose, unpacked dirt and they felt better than the merrel's I usually use for hiking. But for the most part I wear them around town because of it's good looks and excellent comfort. Great job Exofficio!
