I would like to see articles/trip reviews that match how many of us (maybe just my impression) wind up fitting all of this together... i.e... wheeling, camping, family..ing, and work mtb into that mix. You see some great examples of this in the british MTB mags, where they outline everything from a recent ride, such as where, contact info, maps, how to get there, etc..
For example, this coming weekend I am headed out with family in tow to camp in Pisgah National forest. We are camping near a stream (for the 3 year old to play in) in a small, unplugged campsite (for wife not be inundated with crowds ... me too) , kayaking on a local whitewater run (for the 18 year old and his buddy... me too) and it just so happens that I can ride some Pisgah National Forest awesomeness right from the campsite... (yeah, that one is for me...)
Am I mistaken that many of you are doing some of the same combo type trips? Examples like this from across the country might help inspire. trip reports, trail routes, etc... such as my last:

are likely to be in the regional section. While a trip like this might not be "front page" material, detailing a trip with more exciting mtb destinations might be.
Not sure if that is what you were looking for, but it is one of the reasons I enjoy this site so much, it encompasses such a variety of activities all built around the concept of getting away... and the folks here seem to realize that we are not all going to be able to wander across Mongolia...
