Since your truck is diesel, why did you select propane powered appliances over diesel?

Basically because everything I have is already propane, and I'm carrying enough of it, so no use in the extra expense right now for something new. I'll just run what I own. That may change in the future however as things wear and get replaced.

Copy - I agree that propane is a great option for occasion use in mild to moderate conditions for the majority of people.

Since I sometimes spend weeks and am planning to spend months at 8-12k feet of elevation in cold weather, propane is simply not an option for me. The other two advantages diesel had for me was that it can be refilled anywhere at anytime and is very efficient compared to propane.

Doesn't seem like alot got done, but my body says otherwise, lol. I pulled all the heavy roll up doors out that were left, and then started putting up the driver side awning since it would open up some space to access the bolts. The only way to mount it to the 2x2 1/4" wall 6061 aluminum c channel was with some 1 1/2" aluminum spacers that fit inside the c channel and allowed 3 stainless steel 3/8" bolts to be through bolted all the way through the top and underneath the c channel. I don't think these will EVER go anywhere. I only have 2 of the 3 brackets up for now so I can measure for the cover that I punch the holes in the back of to mount. Then I can fully mount the awning with all 3 brackets. Once that was completed, I temporarily put up the side aluminum so I could start measuring for the door cut outs like the other side.

Can't thank Midguard Adventure in Dickinson TX enough for getting me this Bush Company 270XT Max awning quickly. It's RIDICULOUSLY beefy as you can tell by the pics.

Well we got more done today. Third awning support in the center. As well as the awning cover on, which was more difficult than it sounds, but it's done. Also got the lock box on this side in as well. And prepped a bit for the two windows on each side. She's looking better and better each day. And the boys loved helping me and my wife tackle this project today!

While waiting on the retention rings for the side windows to come in, I turned my attention today to a few things on the outside that would take time to do later anyway. Removal of the old reflectors that were showing signs of rust. They are being replaced with new aluminum ring ones anyway, so I drilled them out, sanded down the layers of paint jobs this trailer had in its service life pre-civilian. And started drilling out the rivets that held the velcro strip to an old canopy that used to be used on the trailer. Sanding between the removal. Reaming the holes, then re-riveting. Slow process, but it needed done anyway, and I still have a few more to do.

The last couple days have been the removal of the side panel with the lock box to now put in the wall supports for the window. The two windows on each side that I chose are also both emergency exit windows that can be fully pushed out if needed. But they both open up and are screened as well. Its been drill drill drill, and huck bolt or 1/4" Magna-Lok rivets depending on where it was used. The brackets are marine grade 316SS. I also removed the old drip rails that were above the roll up doors originally to repurpose and add new rubber seals once it is fully painted. For now I just removed the old seals and cleaned and prepped the back area for the new wall supports.

Called it quits early today. Arm gave out, but I'm super happy to be at this point with it RN. I dry fitted the window and it falls in well. Just need some window sealant and a second hand maybe this weekend, and I'll have it in. I believe there are over 100 rivets in the face alone from today.

My wife is a trooper. This morning before the sun came up, she said; while we were drinking our coffee. "Let's put that window in." ??? Can't find a better woman than that!

Took a few pics after sunrise.
