FG84 Camper Build

Given that the doorway is only really a cutout, I am a bit surprised that they could not accommodate what I think would be a pretty simple change.
I guess that they are at the point now where they just want to get it done and out the door.

Once we buy our house down here, you're welcome to get it registered using our place as a base address. Of course, that would mean it'd need to be normally down here and might slow down the build process.

Well this was a fun weekend. After lots of discussion and knowing the current house wouldn't work with having the camper parked at our house, we did the only logical thing a person can do. We bought 2 houses. Both on the same block, small house at the back with parking for the truck and a garage, house at the front to rent out that'll help with the mortgage.

Might mean portions of the camper get delayed while we recover from this. Having said that though, 6 135w solar panels have been ordered and waiting on quote for lithium battery system with all the associated parts to come through. Local TAFE has an auto electrical basics course on, so going to that in the new year which should help in understanding a bit more about electrics.

Realistically, I think Santa's going to miss out on this one. If there was another week, might be a different story. New target, Australia day long weekend

Chatted with Steve at Styromax, it's moving at a fast pace. Body's glued onto the frame, windows are in, edge capping is being cut, door hatches are ready to install, main door is being built and roof gets cut on Monday. Bottom pod should be finalised end of next week. They're all pumped and excited about it, is coming out better than they expected and has generated a lot of interest from people who've seen it.

They shut down for a week over christmas, ETA for completion is in the following fortnight so driving it down over Australia day is realistic.

More photos to come. It's getting REALLY REALLY close. Man, I wish I was up there right now working on it with them

Is that all happening on the Gold Coast?
