Having owned a 2001 Tundra with the v6, 5spd Manual, 4X4 Access cab. I would only get a V6 in a Tundra if you are trying to drive a stick. If you are willing to drive an auto, just get the V8. The V6 was fine for buzzing around but forget towing heavy or having unlimited passing power. I liked that truck a lot. Not worth supercharging it to get V8 power though.
