With the weight in it and the ADL's, the rear is still 1" higher than stock.

The extra cab storage compartment/dog platform and the rear storage compartments look awesome.

I am shamelessly stealing the extracab setup for my own rig. Been staring at that empty space back there trying to figure out how to make it more usefull. Had planned on just mounting items to the walls and floor of the cab but that is much cooler, organized and out of sight (less tempting to criminals).

Thank you for the carpet corner tips. I am in the midst of recarpeting my bed storage and had been scratching my head as to how to properly do some of those corners and not have them look like crap.

Time to go out to the garage, bust out the cardboard and start making some templates.

Thanks again, BTW, nice truck.

I was out there with CSU Long Beach Geology at the desert studies center. Recognized your rack setup on the way out actually.

I can't believe it's been a year since I posted in my own thread. My Pops got sick and then passed in September so time has been limited to do any real projects on the truck.

I have bolted a few things on though. After my day thirteen mod, some lady swiped my front bumper parked in exactly the same spot. Needless to say, I don't park there any more

Good things can come of situations like this though. I got a couple of estimates and she paid me off almost a grand in cash. And so did I go out and repair it? No! I replaced it

And, had a couple of coins left over for some Piaa 1400 fogs that I squeezed into the bumper

The missus and I did manage to get out to Death Valley at new years for a single day. Definately not enough, it was beautiful. A ton of snow on Telescope Peak.

We managed to slide down West Side Rd and then up Warm Springs to Striped Butte. With the tires aired down, truck handled these roads just fine. Made it back down to to the pavement just after dark and high tailed back into Vegas.

Speaking of spending money. Alot of bitching around about the cost of the Slee sliders. Add to that the cost of shipping and yeah, they're pricey. I looked at the others and they just don't work as well as a step to get to the racks. The build quality of these things is first rate. Engineered well and bolted right on with no problems. Powder coated finish is excellent. All hardware supplied grade 8 or stainless.

To me, I think they're worth to bucks. I have access to the equipment and have the skills to build them but still don't think I could do them for the time and materials involved. Happy customer here although I haven't set them down on a rock yet. I doubt there'l lbe a problem.
