Thanks for the link and info. Wheels that don't stick out but clear the brakes (like only a stock wheel can) are cool in my book. I assume the offset and backspacing is the same as on my 4runner wheels? I would like to know for sure but it may be hard to get the specs. One advantage to a 7.5-inch wide wheel is if I ever decided I wanted to go with a 285-mm tire a 7.5" wide wheel is better than a 7-in. But I don't know that I would have clearance without a different offset to move the tire further out. This is unlikely anyway, as I'm likely to stay with 265/75, 235/85, or 255/85 tires.

Today I called
http://www.trdparts4u.com/Default.aspx
to get some info but the parts guy could have been more helpful. All I got out of him was that shipping is $30.00 per wheel (156.50 each out the door) and that the light grey/silver ones are available and the darker ones, which I think would look better on my white 4Runner, are on indefinite backorder. Are your wheels painted not polished?

these will fit your 4 runner no problem. And I think they look really good. I prefer to keep my mods as close to factory as possible, and with TRD they are factory. And I don't like the way that most aftermarket wheels stick out.

I'm sure if you are patient and look around you'll find some take offs. If not from the dealer, than people on the forums. Check out this forum, since it's all FJ Cruiser: http://www.fjcruiserforums.com/forums/

Too bad you're not in the LA area, that way you can just put one of mine on the 4 runner to test it out, but I truly believe they are identical. I know my buddy that's the parts manager at Northridge Toyota would know. They do mail-order too so it may be worth a call - his name is Evan Nikols (818) 734-5600

The silver was are painted not polished like the regular Toyota wheel I had before. Not sure if you can see the color difference in the photos.

I may call him tomorrow to see about the specs and will also ask for his price. These wheels could add a little conservative 'spice' to The Mall Crawler.

I recently purchased a set of Maxxis Bighorns in 255/85 for my 4Runner. I put them on the stock wheels, had them siped, and so far I like them. They are not quiet, maybe about the same as BFG MT, maybe a little louder, but it's hard to tell because my 255/85 BFGs are on a loud F350 diesel.

The aftermarket Ultra Type-50 wheels I have for my Toyo ATs barely cleared the front calipers when I bought them, and this past weekend when I put them back on they were rubbing. Not sure if they were hitting the calipers but is seemed like it. Put the stock wheels back on, no problems. The Ultras also sit further toward the edge of the wheel well than I prefer. Because of this I ordered a set of 16x7.5" TRD wheels online (like on the FJ above) for my second set of tires. They will probably arrive next week and I plan to put my 265/75 ATs on them.

Yes my goals are OME heavy kit, 255/85/16 maxxis bighorns. I will add bumpers, winch, rear drawer, fridge, lights, and some other electrical upgrades. Then a campa trailer. I am considering making my own bumpers again since I di not really car for any of the available options right now. Especially the rear. If I do not fab my own front I will get a a warn or expedition one and fab my own grill guards for it. We will see.
