Flipping campers at OvExpo

I brought the Tiger to OvExpo, but have long love for the flippac camper. I saw so many, thought it might be fun to take pics of them all to share. But by the time I stopped going in circles looking at everything and grabbed the camera, 4 or 5 had slipped away. Here’s the ones I caught.

Reg cab tacoma, regular bed - from CO, didn’t get to meet the owner.

Mario’s Jeep Commanche with a 6ft bed I believe, a very special AT build

Super short bed (4 ft), used to be a Ford ranger, Travis’ amazing camper build here

Tacodoc’s crew cab tacoma, shortbed – the interior build came out great, just about what you’d expect from a Dave build!

Trailer build, possibly my favorite flippac there – shows what you can do with a small budget and a lot of determination! I spoke with the owner for a while, nice guy – hopefully he’ll start posting and explain this amazing build.

For those who prefer side-flipping, the Wildernests:

OK this doesn’t flip but it belongs here cause if I’d been able to find one, the flippac might not have happened. Fun that it rolled up nearby us.

"Flipping campers."

My first thought was, "Buy on Friday, sell on Saturday."
I gotta stop reading the real estate section of the newspaper.

Linda...enjoyed for the flipper review. Of course I'm partial to them as well!
They certainly have grown in popularity in the last 5 years...and FRP (manufacturer in Riverside CA) doesn't even advertise anywhere!

Vince, if it hadn't been for BajaTaco's pics of your setup, I would've never persisted with FRP in getting mine. A dozen emails/phone calls and no response, so I finally just showed up at their door. They certainly owe you some thanks for putting it out there, and being a great ambassador.

Fortunately AT is in the business now, so those who want 'em can get them!

X2, and here's to Vince being the original instigator of all our flippin' campers!  :bigbossHL:

Dave and Linda...you may be giving me a little more credit than I deserve but thanks for the comments!
Dave, you did a great job on your build and Linda you have more room in a Flippac than I thought was possible.

Here's how I learned of the Flippac: about 10 years ago, a relative of mine who grew up in Denver had moved to CA. He had a Flippac on his truck. When he came to visit me, I asked him what the hell is that on your truck. He proceeded to flip it open and I immediately knew I had found the replacement for the VW Westphalia that I had sold years ago. Mind you, I had been camping for many years and thought I knew all the options available but I had never seen a Flippac until that day. It's become well known now in the offroad community but I bet there are still many other campers/outdoor types who don't know of it.

x3. One by one you ALL influenced me in going the Flippac direction.
I couldn't sell my RTT and other expo gear fast enough to offset the cost of a Flippac. It didn't help (or maybe it did ?) that each time I'd log on to ExPo one of you would be detailing an addition to your build(s).
So thanks to all of you (Vince,Dave,Linda,Travis) I'll be picking up my own ATFP in a couple weeks in Prescott, to start a new build of my own!

Walt, I liked your old setup, but look forward to seeing pics of the Flippac on your rig.
Will keep an eye out for your rig too around these parts.

I liked the old set up too. Just outgrew it. I think my 4 yo daughter is looking forward to the new ATFP as much as I am.:wings:

I will be picking the brains of the afore mentioned FP owners as I start my own build on this new rig.
