Still waiting on Shrockworks to finish the test fitting, dang do I miss my truck.. But it is sooo going to be worth it.

For the batteries I went with two 1200MJT's in the stock location with a custom tray made out of angle iron using a SurePower 1315-200.

Do you know if Shrockworks plans on making sliders for the 01-04 trucks? Hey...if they need a truck to help them measure some out...I would be MORE than willing to lend them a hand....:D

I can't wait to see how the bumper turns out....

They are using my truck for measurements... so I believe so, along with some Diff Protectors!

The application will be for Tacoma and 4Runner rear third members.

That is awesome. I always lusted after their TJ stuff when I had the Jeep. It has got to be the stoutest sliders out there for the Jeep. Figure the same will probably be true for the Taco's.

What back seat? I have a platform and it is loaded to the roof right now with camping gear, the Engel and TwoZone, and dry foods.:punk03:

Now I just need a matching spare wheel!

Update...

Unfortunately, I still do not have my truck back from Texas. Seems like it has been a long time with out my baby.

Planning and design are still in the works with out the truck here in Arizona, as rear bumper nears finishing, and powder coating dates are set.

The rear bumper (CBI Off-Road FAB) will be a swing out design, with the rear quarter panels cuts and built in skids. The rear tire mount will have a rear view camera, jack-mount with Quick Fists, Hella Matador light, and a storage solution.

The Front Bumper, once completed by Shrockworks, will be outfitted with PIAA's, and LightForce lights, the winch will be (testing) T-Max EW-9000-WCP, with Master Pull Synthetic winch line. The Shackles will be Black Rat front and rear.

Most items are sitting in the garage waiting for the install once the truck and bumpers are complete.

The Camera system is in the works thanks to Total Vision Products in Tuscon, AZ. They are working on the monitor placement using the OEM rear view mirror assembly. The Taco will be equipped with underbody camera's and front and rear viewing camera's.

For navigation, the Delorme Earthmate PN-20 arrived a few days ago, I have yet found time to play and upload maps. Basic playing around with the unit, it is a SWEET unit. The Deluxe bundle does not include a mount, to on to more searching for a mount.

The seats and drawer saga continues as I am leaning towards out fitting using Recaro Seats as we can get matching baby seats for the new one on her way in June. This will result in a complete overhaul of the rear deck system, and I am trying to avoid stock if at all possible to maintain my increased storage solutions. The issue will be making the seat removable and replaceable with a storage platform while maintaining safety.

I will keep you all posted as things progress.

Wil,

I checked Wheeler's site for you and the Pre- '04 Tacoma rims are the 15 x 8 and run $125 per rim.

Here's the link... http://www.wheelersoffroad.com/tacomablackalloys.htm

Gary

Thanks... The 15's wouldn't work with my 255/85 R16's... I looked into it more and the Wheelers wheels are just ProComp's 1069-6883. I loved how thick they looked on your tuck at the holes.

It sucks right now with all the goodies sitting in the garage waiting to be installed. I have one thing on... and that is to be continued....

Ok here is a rough estimate time line:

Dual Batteries - Done... working on article
SurePower - 50% done, need to install the indicator light this weekend
TwoZone Cover - In testing right now ... working on review article
Front Bumper - I don't know when they will be done with it... but as soon as I get it I think I am going to be sick (so I can install the lights, winch, and the bumper!)
Rear Bumper - I should get an update in a few more weeks, then there is a long wait for powder coating here in AZ... so I would guess 2-3 weeks for them to complete the bumper, 1 week to ship, and 2 weeks to powder coat. so that would be the end of June for the rear.
After the bumpers are on the camera's can be installed, they have my rear-view mirror right now for the monitor placement.

Ha!
Remind me again when Wen is due?

You'd better get that truck back...quick.

Oh...they make a cover for the two zone? Hmmm. I wonder if I could trade a 45 for a 30?

Yes they make a cover... it is very nice so far. I just wish it tied into the Engel bag a bit better.
