I'm mostly interested in the LCD screen only.... I don't see pricing their site for just the LCD setup, nor a LCD that mounts as yours does. Price?
The screen and mount is custom made by total vision.. I believe it is about a 6" screen that they have found and tested to be most visible in daylight conditions. For pricing on the unit alone, try giving them a call or PM me for their e-mail.

Does it fold up or all our partially underneath the light assembly?
No, in my application with the Can-Back and rear bumper set up I can not see anything out the rear of the vehicle even looking backwards. Since the monitor goes in place of the mirror (which was pointless) I decided for a permanent in the position as pictured.

What specifically are you looking for Kurt?

It is a 4 camera (FAX, RAX, Rear, Front), where both axle camera's are B&W and the front and rear are color.... then connected to the monitor. The connections have and addional line in and line out (for recording). Other than that I will need to dig into the box to find out more.

cool stuff dude. Are you able to record sound as well? Is it just RCA inputs to a camcorder?

I don't know... I haven't gotten to open the box yet and see... I think it is just RCA's inputs to a camcorder IIRC.

Kurt-

Ok here is some info on the monitor:

Screen Size: 5.6"
Power input: DC12v
Aspect ratio: 4:3
Display Format: 960X234pixes

I threw it up in the truck tonight and snapped a few shots... it is slick.... With the sun visors down, the bottom of the monitor is in line with the bottom of visors as shown below:

*Anxiously awaiting the pictures of the drawers and these C-130 tie downs!*

Well here it is a month late.... Finally got a few seconds to run out and take some pics...

My friend gave me a handful of each of these:

I think they are called T-pins, but I could be wrong. I am going to use them for the drawer with one on each side of the drawer, and it will lock it at various intervals. The button on the top releases the ball bearings, so essentially it is locked in place until the button on top is pressed.

Wil, I went over to Schrockworks today to inquire about having my rear bumper modded to include a swing-out tire carrier.

Guess what I saw..............? :shakin:

A prototype of your bumper on Mitch's Taco. He said he had to work on it after hours, but it was SCHWEEEEET!

Man, their welds are as fine as any I have ever seen.

Jim was asking over $1100 for what I wanted done. :(

Speaking of used aircraft parts. . .

Waaay back in the early 80's when i was in a fj40 club that ran out of Reno Nevada we had a guy with a very nice rig who had a brother that was an electrician for the big USAF planes such as the C17 Globemasters. One MidWeekNite run he shows up and asks if he can lead the pack up the trail toward donner summit. We were all looking at his rig like; "What the %#$& is THAT?" on his light bar. . . his brother had given him a landing light off of a C17 (they are replaced every so many hours of flight time), he hooked up two extra 12 volt batteries (it ran on 24 volts) and lit up the hillside for us. His new nickname for the fj was cyclops. This light was about 12" in diamiter if i'm remembering right.

Hummm, might just have to talk to my USAF-JetMechanic of a daughter. grin.

Cheers,
Thom
