Fold down table for rear door?

I'm looking for a panel to replace the stock panel on the inside of the rear door of my 1996 Disco I.

I'd like it to have a drop down table, and preferably be made from aluminum.

Does anyone sell these?

No way its that much. I got mine from Justin at Lucky 8. Scrounged the garage for an old butcher block and continuous hinge and was able to build a table that works nicely.

One you have the Pre-fabed door card in place making the table is easy. There are infinate ways to hang it and lock it but the basics are the actual shelf and either a continous 'piano' hinge or a couple of normal hinges. I have strung mine up in the past by using webing riveted to the door card and shelf but recently I have bike brake inner cable held with clamps (allows for adjustment should it be needed) it is also locked up by a hinge mostly seen on the tailgates of series vehicles (keep it LR!)

Just a thought: if I had it to do over, I would buy two of the door panels and use the extra for the flip-down shelf (with the big side facing out). I can't remember where I saw it (somewhere on here likely), but it looks perfect for a camp kitchen.

This is my table. Couldn't live without it.

kitchen grade stainless panel
1/4-20 riv nuts
1/4-20 stainless button cap screws
1/4 black auto trim x 80in
12.25in 10lb pressure gas struts
stainless strut brackets (boat supply store)
stainless piano hinge
rivets
kitchen grade HDPE cutting board

The nobs have 1/4-20 threads which screw through the table into 1/4-20 riv nuts

He always has great ideas. I try to steal as many of them as I can! You should check out his roof rack mounting system. Bulletproof!
