I like the smaller closed dimensions of this unit, lets you carry kayaks, bikes and your rooftop home. Unfortunately, I picked up a Tepui a few months ago. In Newnan also. GL

Do I need a flat surface to install this tent? My RRC has a Wilderness roof rack like this one and my trailer has a Yakima system. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/gav-61326

A flat surface would be ideal. Back when I owned my Tacoma, I mounted this RTT on top of an All Pro Bed Rack. The hardware was attached to the three horizontal bars on the bed rack
