I think you hit on part of the problem, people conflating a forum with reality. Grammar has little to do with the 2nd amendment.

Humor is tougher since it can be interpreted in different ways. I took Fireman78's grammar comment as being facetious, but definitely with a little targeted bite. Then again, maybe he was completely serious. Funny, I just looked for the palms-in-the-air "don't know" emoji and couldn't find it among those on the site. That's a pretty common one on well-developed discussion fora.

Given the current political shakeup, I am surprised people are as spastic about the 2nd Amendment as they are. The Supreme Court is going to take shape to protect that for decades to come. I even see suppressors becoming widely available and easier to access in the next 12-14 months. As gun owners, things have NEVER been so good (unless you live in California)

Things are fine for most but the ant gun people are far more vocal and active the any anti open vs pro conceal carry crowd.

Not only more vocal, but take efforts to refine their grammer & puncuation skills as it makes them feel all superior.
Further, they make up code words such as "left, red,blue, right", etc. Its just another self superiority tactic to belittle & confuse folks "not in the know".
Sadly many of their belittlement targets will learn & begin to use these codewords. It provides highly vocal grammer correct code talkers extra victory.
