Ford F150 w/Powerboost

I have a Ford F150 with the hybrid Powerboost engine that incorporates an inverter, with a Tune camper installed on the bed. There are AC outlets in the bed that I plan to charge my Pecron e1500LFP battery, and hope to get by with just this to charge the Pecron while driving, avoiding solar install of any sort. May add an expansion battery after some road trips to test the need, but don’t plan on being stationary for more than two days to power a Dometic fridge, Maxair fan and LED lights built into the Tune. Question: am I correct to assume the outlets in the bed are all that is needed to charge the Pecron…doesn’t appear a DC to DC charger or any add’l equipment is needed…assuming the e1500 turns out to be sufficient for my needs.

You will also need to verify if the inverter output is true sine wave. Many (most?) power stations won't charge from a "modified sine wave" (i.e. square wave) inverter.

I have a Tune and a Pecron e1500LFP. And a 400W inverter in teuckbed of Tacoma. Pecron won't charge from a mod sine wave inverter like Tacoma has. I have to feed my 120v power into a power supply, boost to 50v, and feed that into the mppt solar input.

Check your inverter, see if it works.
If it works, YES, that's all you need and it's perfect.

Trying to charge a powerstation from your vehicle ac outlet is an unnecessary uphill run. The Victron IP22 can do the job, but why bother with that, since the amount of ac you can get from the outlet is pretty puny. If your alternator can handle a larger load than the ac inverter in the truck, your best bet is to go direct from dc to dc. There are two new really good products that do it. The Ecoflow dc/dc charger, puts out a lot of power, but you’ll need a big alternator, and it’s expensive. Then there’s Pecron Smart Car Charger at $150. For less than the cost of a Victron IP22, you can get up to 500w charging power into your powerstation through a solar port. i bought mine the same week it was announced. Now there’s a pretty long wait to get one. Installation took only 30 minutes. You’ll need to run the wires from starter battery under chassis, and back up into truck bed. Pecron includes nylon braided shielding for the wire, and all the connections. And I’ll tell you it works great.

Doesn't the Powerboost come with the Pro Power outlets by default? So you should have up to a 7.2kWH outlet in the bed, and at least a 2.4 or 2.0 kWH outlet at the lowest as part of the hybrid system. It's also pure sine wave from the specs I saw. Here's a good Q&A with Ford about the system.

I don’t have a power boost Model. I have a plain vanilla F150 2.7L turbo.
tThere is no power to the bed.

Looking to see how this works. I also have the powerboost with propower. Finding limited uses for it other than power outages and occasional uses for contracting work.

I went with a 115V setup for my air compressor in the back on my 2023 Powerboost. Quieter and with a 1 gallon tank it works great.
