No duty then? Seems like it would be well worth it, if you can assist with mounting.

The tariff is crazy. If you could count on that lasting forever you could probably figure away around it (some US fab?)... but you can't.

Bringing it into Canada would generate 6% duty like anywhere else in the world. You then drive it across the border with the proper documentation. For more details please contact me directly as I do not want to give any advice that may or may not be correct...

Water logistics:

From the beginning it was important to us to have all water logistics inside the camper to make it 4 season capable without much hassle. For that we created a 12" "basement" out of FRP honeycomb panels. We have several compartments that are each self contained in case of a spill/leak. Each of them also has a drain plug.
-The 29 gallon water tank has baffles incorporated (black lines) and is sitting right above the rear axle in the middle of the truck.
- We are using a 12V Elgena water boiler. The max pressure they can handle is 3bar. The pump we have installed only goes up to 2.5 bar but we thought we should install a reducer right away just in case we need to replace the pump at some point with one that has a higher output.
- For the water filter we chose the Guzzle system for it's compactness.
- Heating duct was run through all compartments to boost the 4 season capability. Don't think that's really needed with a 3.25" floor... Also needed to run the ducting to the rear storage compartment and bathroom.

Everything is accessible from the inside of the camper. Even if the water filler on the outside is too dirty to open or frozen, we can fill the tank from the inside also.

We take the water filter off to let it dry between trips so nothing grows in it. Growth will start in a tank if all the water doesn't drain out of it.

No way to get an insulated tank between the frame rails of the truck?

Our main focus was to have a rig where we never have to worry about true winter camping capabilities. As you can see in the pictures, we dont have any exterior storage. Everything including all critical components are accessible from the inside. Some are also accessed via storage hatches from the outside.

Thank you. I'm trying to figure out how small we can go. In winter our gear multiples 3 fold so storage gets really tight. I was wondering if it was possible to put an insulated tank between the rails. That is where our tanks are with 2" XPS insulation. This has worked down to -15F.

Might be able to do a cutout (dropped floor) between the rails and cross memebes.

If there a way to join (T extrusion) 3 panels together?

For what it’s worth in the top of the diesel fuel tank there is a bung in the construction of the tank that will take a piece of pipe can’t remember if it’s 6 or 8 mm but could use it for a pickup for the Diesel heater I used this for a fuel feed for the generator on one of our light rescue trucks and worked fine

That would of course be great if our Transit wouldn't be running on gas ;-)
