Doc Finished up the Roof rack and I started prepping for paint by getting ONE rock rail primed.....

Took it out to Butcher Jones to see how everything works. Tires and metal work were awesome, but I need more lift and some fender and pinch weld mods!!

Yeah it looks like it could use some more lift, as for the pinch seems just break out the hammer! :ylsmoke:

Looks great!

What color are you going to paint everything?

After the trail ride, on the way home, we stopped at Home Depot and picked a different color for the paint. I put the first coat on and asked the MIL and the Wife what they thought, we all agreed that was the right color for this build. It is Krylon brand Brown Hammered paint.

Looks great. Consider painting the bumpers and rails white to be "stealthy"? Would look pretty trick I think.

EDIT: you posted while I was composing. The brown looks good!

I can get matched paint to the PW1 Stone white from Sherwin Williams for $9 a can and we seriously considered the bumpers in white. We finally decided against it because of how often we had to touch up the bumper on the old LJ. The white would be hard to maintain and would show chipes very bad, whereas the Hammered finish can be touched up easy and blends well.

Long story short, long term care will be much easier with this paint

Man this rig is turning out great and fast too. Butcher Jones looks great Its been over a year since I have been there, dont like it much since th homies moved in with there hummers. My brother wants a zj, His concern is the seating. How many can you cram in your jeep? Is adding a third row an option? Happy Easter!

Don't know anything on a 3rd seat, but would doubt it, as it sits i can stuff 5 in and with good straps I can get 4 on the roof rack!!!!! :Wow1:

Everything got really tested today!!! We did a stolen/burnout recovery for Tonto National Park Rangers today and I got to use the Grand.

Chained the rear bumper to the burned out car with a chain, hooked the front bumper to the back of another Jeep with a strap.......Both bumpers were worked hard and held up great!!!! Even with the hard jarring over the rocks and the car catching and jerking.
