I think I'll be surprised if you get a response unless you pm or respond to his Craig's ad. He joined the Portal just long enough to place the ad and then bailed. It's his one and only post. I don't mind that in and of itself. Sometimes when you go to sell something is the time when you find places like this, but the "hey guys" schtick I don't like. It gives the impression of a long time member that we should all know instead of the hit and run it really is. Smells of used car salesman and borders on dishonesty....or maybe I just didn't sleep good last night, and I'm getting crotchety because of all the dang kids on my lawn!

Well, I guess we won't be getting together for beers this weekend? Apologies to all if I offended anyone with the term "guys". I've lurked here off and on for quite a while, but never signed up to post. I don't Facebook, snapchat, Twitter, or any of that other crap either. I'm not much of a forum warrior. Sorry. Probably why I've been driving a 1992 4wd van.

I'm not a used car salesman. I'm an Air Line pilot. I'm not dishonest. This is my actual personal van that I would like to sell. It has been a fun project. I have put a good bit of effort into it & had a lot of fun - but now it is time to sell. I though this would be a good place for that.

To that end...... It's been awhile since I've checked the mpg - but my best recollection is between 13-16 mixed.

I'm all ears if anybody has a better suggestion about selling such a rare animal. I'm considering eBay - but I'm not super comfortable with the idea. I'd rather somebody look the thing over & be stoked - than to take my word for its condition & be unhappy later. Nothing to hide. Trent C.

No problems here Trent. Glad to have you along and I don't mind if you stick around. It definitely seems like Tgreening is/was having a bad day. This is the absolute best place to advertise such an animal, but I would put it on the Sportsmobile Forum too. No law against being a 'new guy', or for that matter using the term 'guys'.

I think the term for this situation is 'Haters gonna hate.'

I too am thinking along the lines of Tgreening, but I don't have any kids on my lawn or do I have a lawn but I do carry a large gun. Maybe I am getting crotchety in my old age also. LOL

It sold. Makes you wonder why it was so cheap. Basically priced as a 2wd in fair condition. Looked like a great deal for someone. Was nicely equipped based on the original window sticker. Interesting that the sticker showed the Quigley 4x4 as no charge. Sticker showed about $36k new. Does the Quigley price get added to an addendum or something?

Nah, not for beers. Not a big beer fan. Some sake maybe, or tekillya. :)

I didnt mean to convey that you were a salesman, but rather it smelled of a sales tactic, and dishonest was probably a poor choice of word. More like misleading.

I believe its your van, never really doubted that. I'm sure plenty of us have seen the "Hey guys! Did you see the super mega awesome what-zit for sale over on the super mega awesome what-zit site? Looks like a super mega awesome good deal. No affiliation." You know the type, usually a 1 and done poster. It just struck me as something along those lines.

Anyway, seems legit, I"m duly chastised, and I hope you get it sold. And I have to admit, I loved your "reason for edit". Got a chuckle out of that one.

And it's still on their web site but with a new higher price by $6k...

I got this response from them "We increased the price so that people would stop submitting inquiries on a vehicle that is no longer available until corporate takes it off the web."
