FOUND Vans For Sale!

I wonder how they compete with the Mercedes Sprinter in diesel form at under $60,000 with 4x4, maybe this is a highly optioned gas Van. I have seen a few 4x4 sprinters in person they look pretty good. I haven't seen a 4x4 transit yet.

They compete amazingly well until the Sprinter breaks down in the middle of nowhere due to an electronic issue and has to be towed 500 miles while the Transit keeps going, maybe breaks down and has to be towed 5 miles to a Ford dealer. *This info spoken by a Sprinter fan who is afraid of the new ones. I'm not a Ford sellout though I did recently buy an Ecoboost Transit (2wd :( ) and it's amazing.

Time to get serious boys. 8 wheel drive, 4 wheel steering. Once I retire I'd love to dig into building out one of these into an RV. I imagine it as kind of a (Star-Wars) Jawa Sandcrawler. :sombrero:

That's awesome. When the Armageddon comes I want to be camping in that. I'm not sure how I can get through a weekend of my wife's showers with only 2300 gallons of water though.

Newberg Ford does keep them in stock but it would cheaper and a better overall experience if you have the money to just buy a 2we transit and take it to a conversion company. The van sales guy there is a tool.

Thanks, the owner seems odd. He did not answer any of my questions about the condition of the van. The top would be nice but I will have another $800 in shipping it home.

Or just buy a (new) top from me and avoid the hassle... :)

I would like the Beta Version of that 24" Pop Top that you created. I understand that you are going back to the R&D phase but the first one was good enough for me. PM me a price.

I finally created a proper ad for my 2000 Excursion 7.3 Diesel. I have owned it since 2012. The kids are in college and I haven't needed a large SUV for a few years now.
Lots of Pictures and 2 Videos in the ad

7.3 Excursion 4x4 ad

If anyone is looking for a new Transit, the Ford dealership in Newberg, Oregon has a couple WITH Quigley 4x4 conversions already done on them. Pretty cool I guess, didn't realize a dealer would stock that.

Did you notice any high roofs? I was just quoted a order date of November 1 and me driving the Quigley conversion of mid-May, so this could be very exciting for me! I emailed them also....

Good man!

I searched their site with ZERO success earlier. I really want the ecoboost motor, but instant gratification is sometimes hard to pass up. I reached out to the sales guy, might be making a trip up there.

I was also looking for a van without any windows, on the reasoning that it would be easier to install dual pane windows later. Does anyone know about dropping a replacement dual pane into the existing window hole on these vans? Most of the aftermarket Ive seen require cutting a fresh hole to their specific size.

Thanks
-Chris

edit- 10/25/17 12:50PM. I just got off the phone with the sales guy listed on those vans at Newberg, less than an inspiring experience, anyways none of those 4x4s will be there till February.

yeah, IIRC from my visit they only had 2 quigleys in stock and both were short wheelbase w/ regular height top. They had some non-4x4 high tops.
