FOUND Vans For Sale!

Man.... this is asking for somebody to follow down the path of your build. Seems like a pretty solid deal. Only downsides I see are roll-up (instead of barn door) rear and v8 instead of v10? Neither of those are deal breakers though.

I scored a gutted Chinook off OfferUp awhile back. The ad seemed like a scam, the seller initially seemed sketchy, and I wondered what I was getting into scheduling a meet, but hey, it worked out in the end! Gotta use all the channels to find the good stuff.

What do you think of a 1998 E350 with a Quigley build under it. 7.3 turbo diesel, SCT Chip (whatever that means). Brakes, rotors, calipers just done and rockers replaced from rust (Nor'east Truck). re-painted 2yrs back. 250,000 on the motor, don't know about how long ago the Quigley was done. Asking $7500. What would be a reasonable offer, or would you even make one?

Update: Quigley 4x4 conversion was done in 1998.

I decided not to offer. Good looking rig, yet diesel just doesn't work for me. Always something.. aye..
Still available in my area, southern NH.

My 2000 Ford E350 Ambulance 7.3

The ambulance conversion was built by Traumahawk
All of the lights work
The Heat works great and the AC Blows Cold
These engines are made to last a very long and (500,000+ miles) and this truck was fleet maintained.
It has 230,000 miles.
Side barn doors and rear barn doors
Front, Side, and Rear working lights.
The automatic transmission has been replaced by Ford.
The van shifts and runs great.
The tires are in great condition.
Power Windows
Power Locks
Cruiser Control
Driver and Passenger Airbags
No rust or Leaks.
No issues or problems.
I have included a video of the engine running and driving down the interstate at up to 80 MPH.
This is the same 7.3 Powerstroke that is bullet proof from 1994.5-2003. This has never been modified.
This would be perfect for a Van life or Campervan build.

SOLD

$7500 seems cheap for a Quigley truck unless it is a rust bucket. It will be gone soon if it is in decent shape.
Quigley was Ford's only option for a factory 4x4 conversion in 1998. It appears that you are just starting your search, you need to determine what you want to do with your van. Many will never need more then a Quigley can offer but they have there issues. Ujoint offroad has options that will improve the quigley. It will be hard to find a more capable full-size van for $7500. Please share the link to the Quigley if you aren't going to buy it.

Thanks

Video of running and driving

Pretty decent deal, glad that it's not absurdly overpriced, as the 7.3L vans tend to be... that being said, the no rust comment is a little misleading... definitely appears to have the typical east coast underbody rust based on the brief look underneath in your video.

Misleading ok when have you seen 2 videos posted on 20 year old $4000 truck.

There is no rust or rot on the 19 year old vehicle. You may want to pause the video and look closer at the frame and rockers. Every 20 year old muffler that isn't stainless looks like that. You will never see a truck from NY or NJ show the frame. This a North Carolina van not a NY truck.

In my part of the country this is considered to be a rust free truck. See some rust below and look at the video again

Thanks

Definitely not meaning to attack you with that comment - just making an observation. I own a van from NY and grew up in NC, I'm familiar with the east coast rust/rot. I also now live on the west coast and am familiar with 20yo vehicles with hardly any rust due to spending their lives in the southwest. When compared to a van from the southwest, your ambo definitely has rust on the underbody. When compared to a van from the northeast full of underbody rot, your van is in good shape. Again, just making an observation. At the end of the day I think your asking price is super fair and if I were in the market I would definitely consider it. What's the interior standing height, out of curiosity? Can't tell if these econoline ambo conversions have the typical ~5'10" standing height or if it is above 6'.
