I have been looking at their products for a while. I am wondering if these are 100% above board or if they are being picked up as salvage after the tsunami, refurbished and shipped over here were the VIN would not say salvage?

Cool variation on the cutaway-van + box. Mobile office w/ bathroom. LOTS of headroom, that thing needs a front air spoiler to take the edge off that huge front box face.

Good question? I am not sure how they are getting in, but I believe that they need to be in good order to be imported, and are inspected and a doc check done once they land here. I had a buddy order a Delica from an imported, really nice spec. It arrived and it had some minor frame rust. The importer wouldn't sell it to him and sold it as parts only. He brought in another one for him instead equally nice!

I guess its buyer beware?

"1982 Mercedes 300 GD, 5 cylinder diesel 4 wheel drive go anywhere campervan/RV, low miles/kilometers. Originally used as an ambulance in Belgium (hence the low miles) and converted to a camper.

It has a very compact toilet and shower; sink & stove top; fridge and a diesel heater system. I bought it to go to Alaska, but had some trouble along the way. All of those troubles have been fixed (new clutch and clutch master cylinder; new starter; new diesel injectors all around; new manifold and more), but while they were getting fixed in Belgrade, MT, I had my summer in Alaska. Now I am willing to sell it for considerably less than I have into it (my wife's health rules out future big trips). This is a rig for exploring the back roads; it is not for you if you want to go fast on the freeways. Don't get it if you don't want people wanting to take pictures of it or trying to buy it from you."

Sorry about the crappy picture but its a pop top 4x4 van. Its local to me in Colorado. I snuck a peak of it last year and if my memory is correct the inside is gutted. If anyone is interested I can attempt to get a number.
