4 peaks clean up

I had a great time and met a lot of people. Tim and crew did an awesome job. Not only was this event a good thing for the environment but I also think it broke down some barriers in regards to make and model owners since everyone was breaking sweat regardless of vehicle ownership.

Here is a real cool dude I met from the adventure rider forum.

Adventure rider taking point. " Where do you think you are going? You can fit more trash in that FJ!"

Great pictures amigo. I saw your post over the AZVJC and thanks posting them there as well.

Pleasure getting to meet you in person. I wish had more time to just chat away. One of these days around a campfire:camping:

Hunter,

I think your rig was the most photographed and commented on vehicle at the clean-up. I've seen it at 4 different forums!

What a great day!!! I'll have tons of picks up soon. We had 220 folks sign in and many more that didn't.
Tons of trash were removed and great people were met.
THANK YOU!!

I'm asking that anyone who wants to share pictures posts the LINK as a comment on www.fourpeakspickup.blogspot.com so they are all located in one place! Thank you!

Aerial Pix

Hi all,

Looks like it was a great event! Here's the aerial pix. I shot a ton, but sadly not too many turned out, and also I didn't have my telephoto lens.

Somehow I think it was more important to keep the plane under control than mess with camera settings... :D

I waved, but ya'll looked like a bunch of bugs running around down there.

Those shots were great! It was neat to be able to look at a plane and know the person flying in it was waiving back.

Well guys, maybe its predictable, but it still upsets me.
The pile of trash was lit on fire late Saturday night. It took the fire department resources away from much more important duties among other reasons. My FS contact was out there with a back hoe on Monday and Tuesday cleaning the smoldering mess up.
How I would like to meet up with the folks that did that...:REOutShootinghunter

On a lighter note...

That's horrible! It amazes me how stupid people are at times...

Oh, on a lighter note, my boss asked me what I did last weekend, so I told him...and forwarded some pics. He want's to know when we are doing it again, and has offered to make some calls to see if we can get the corp. office involved. There is money budgeted for these kind of activities, and they love grass roots efforts by "real" people.....

Kind of surprizing when you consider how resource intensive our operations are (can you say million dollar electric bills, petroleum based products, machines with a thermal efficiency of less than 15%?).
